Landmark Mobile Information Wayfinding Solution

Massport or the Massachusetts Port Authority, operates seaports and airports in Central and Eastern Massachusetts, particularly in the Greater Boston area. The goal was to design a system of interactive navigational pods throughout Logan International Airport that allow universal access with supporting digital mobile element. It is designed for the general traveling public and system introduces logo elements that reinforce the Massport brand. The Landmark system introduces navigable landmarks into the airport environment to help the traveler find their way and the mobile application features a user interface identical to the main Landmark system. The design features a dual screen in both portrait and landscape orientation that mimics the mobile application and allows for simultaneous use by standing and handicapped individuals. The large, high contrast buttons, that allow ease of use in the mobile application and meets the ADA letter size requirements for permanent signage.
